A Lesson in Dishes

Last night I made Flash Chicken. Morgan gave me the recipe and it is really good and really easy. The basic ingredients are: cream of chicken, ranch dressing mix, crushed tortilla strips, and chicken breasts. I'm not sure how healthy it was, but it was a big hit.

Usually when I make dinner I try to clean as I go or Colin helps me clean up after dinner... last night was a different story. We decided that instead of doing dishes, we'd rather hang out a bit before going to some friends' house (especially since we've been so busy and haven't gotten very much quality time).

After a riveting episode of 24 and great time with friends we came home late to a disaster area. I gathered dishes and stacked them high in the sink. I was able to justify this by telling myself that "oh, the dishes are just soaking..."

This morning I woke up to disgusting soggy dishes and a strange smell. After a LONG time of cleaning up, taking out the trash, and lighting a candle the smell still lingers. What could it be?

Lesson of the day: do the dishes so that an infectious funky smell does not develop.

  1. That happens to me all the time, thats the problem with messy roommates, they never clean their dishes until it becomes unbearable.
