Adventures in Cooking Part I
Cooking is my new thing. Am I great at it? No. Do I like it? I think so!

One of the problems with being a new "cook" is that most things that are easy to make are not all that good for you. So, I have been looking to the Cheap Healthy Good blog for inspiration.

Experiment number 1: Bruschetta Chicken Bake
Chicken + Stovetop + Mozzarella (part skim) + diced tomatoes + garlic = yummy comfort food with only about 300 calories per serving.

Experiment number 2: Stuffed Peppers
Ground turkey + green peppers (obviously) + garlic + onions + rice + your favorite spaghetti sauce + mozzarella (part skim) = a healthy classic that's, again, only about 300 calories per pepper... YES!

All these recipes are on the blog and you can look them up if you so desire. As for me, tonight is soup night... it's rainy and I've had enough experimenting for one week.

  2. Stuffed peppers are yummy! I prefer them with red bed peppers, so if you like red bell peppers, try it that way too!
