The Lake

My parents have a lakehouse on Lake Limestone in Marquez, Texas. Most people have never heard of it and that usually benefits us because it's clean and not crazy-busy like some lakes. It's one of my favorite places to go because it's fun, free, and I get to see my favorite people when I'm there (I also love riding the wave-runner).

Colin caught this fish off the dock... it's really a huge fish but because it's so far away from the camera, it just looks small.

My mom took this picture of us playing ladder-ball. It was Kevin and Ashlyn vs. Colin and me. Team Bates dominated.

I realize that most of these pictures are of Cub. The first weekend we took him up there he played so hard-- running, swimming, and enjoying having a backyard. Of course, he smelled like lake water mixed with wet dog so we had to bathe him before we left.

Somehow, my parents and grandma managed to dodge out of every picture-- next time I'll have to hunt them down with the camera. I love going to the lake and I can't wait until Colin has another Saturday night off of work so we can go back!
