Recently I learned about a great cleaning secret (all thanks to Suzanne).

First you take:

2 parts of this...

2 parts of this...
Put it in this...
And spray on this...

Wait a few minutes... vacuum... and voila! Not only do you have softer-good-smelling carpet but your vacuum will do a better job picking up pet hair (which is good if you have a pet... which we do... ). You can use whatever fabric softener you like best and even switch up the ratio if you'd like less or more softeness (some use 1 part fabric softener and 3 parts water).

I used to hate vacuuming. Now I still semi-dislike it but get so excited about having soft carpet and a house that smells amazing that I can actually muster up the effort to do it! Talk about a great homemade product-- thanks Suzanne!
